Pulses are manly cropped in low rainfall areas or in low rainfall seasons. Low rainfall is favorable conditions for the pulse cropping.

Dry weather and less rainfall are good for pulses.

The pulses come under Rabi crops seasons. Rabi cropping season is from October-March (winter) which is the no rainfall season.

Now what are pulses? Lentil, Faba bean, Chickpea, Lupin and Field Pea are called pulses.

These pulses need low rainfall, and with the right use of technology, and also the right sow time along with growth regulants, pulses can turn out to be a very profitable business in the farming world.

Farmers should also keep in mind that  different pulses react differently, for instance Lentils is best grown on sand.
