Corresponding sides of the two similar triangle 3 cm and 4 cm if the area of the larger triangle is 48 CM square find the area of the smaller Triangle

We know that the ratio of area of similar triangle is the square of ratio of corresponding sides of the triangle.

Given that,

The ratio of corresponding sides of smaller triangle to larger=3/4

Hence, the ratio of area of smaller triangle to larger=(3/4)^2

Therefore, the area of smaller triangle= 9/16*area of larger triangle.

=9/16*48=27 cm^2

Thus, the area of smaller triangle is 27 cm^2
