Corresponding sides of two similar triangles are 3 cm and 4 cm if the area of the larger triangle is 48 CM square find the area of the similar Triangle

Since both triangles are equal, therefore,

Area of required triangle=3^2/4^2*48

=9/16*48

=27cm^2

Let the given triangle are ∆ ABC and ∆XYZ

and ∆XYZ is larger one

given that

∆ ABC ~ ∆XYZ

So

AB/XY = BC/YZ=AC/XZ

area of ∆ XYZ/area of ∆ABC= (XY)^2/(AB)^2

48/area of ∆ABC = 16/9

area of ∆ABC = 48(9)/16

= 432/16

= 27 sq-cm
