       here is ur answer.....

                            When outer layer of aluminium reacts with oxygen it forms a passive layer of aluminium oxide.Though outer layer gets corroded but it creates a protective coating which saves inner layer from further corrosion.

    hence we can say that corrosion of the alluminum is advantageous................

corrosion of Aluminium is considered be adventageous because when Aluminium react to the atmospheric oxygen, moisture etc and then form thick layer of Aluminium oxide which prevent from further corrosion or oxidation
