Concept:

Trigonometric ratios are the ratios of sides of the right-angle triangle and trigonometric angles are an angle that has its vertex at the origin, and one side lying on the positive x-axis.

Given:

Cos (1853)

Find:

We are asked to find the value of Cos (1853) using the trigonometric angles rule.

Solution:

We have,

Cos (1853) ,

Now,

If 1800 is divided by 360   (Because a circle is of 360°, so the coordinate plane)

i.e.

1800 / 360 = 5

Hence it means 5 complete circles around the origin,

And,

Again at the x-axis or 0 degrees.

So,

Cos 1800 = cos 0 = 1.

Now,

Using the trigonometric angles rule,

Cos (53)

On solving we get,

Cos (53) = 0.602

Hence, the value of Cos (1853) is 0.602.
