cos^4A-sin^4A+1

=(cos^2A)^2-(sin^2A)^2+1

=(cos^2A+sin^2A)(cos^2A-sin^2A)+1

=cos^2A-sin^2A+sin^2A+cos^2A

=2cos^2A

=RHS
