cos (45+a) = 1/root 2 (cos a-sin a)

use formula of cos(a-b) which is
cosacosb-sinasinb,
so,

cos45cosa -sin45sina=1/root2cosa-1/root2sina

taking 1/root2 common,
answer is 1/root2(cosa-sina)
