cos(A +B) = cos A × cos B - sin A × sin B ---(1)

It is given A = 60° and B = 30 °

Put these values in (1)

cos ( 60+30) = cos 60° × cos 30° - sin 60° × sin 30°

cos 90° = 1/2 × √3/2 - √3/2 × 1/2

cos90° = √3/4 - √3/4

cos 90° = 0
