Answer and Explanation:

To prove : \cos^2\theta+\frac{1}{1+\cot^2\theta}=1

Proof :

Taking LHS,

\cos^2\theta+\frac{1}{1+\cot^2\theta}

We know, 1+\cot^2\theta=csc^2\theta

=\cos^2\theta+\frac{1}{csc^2\theta}

We know, \frac{1}{csc^2\theta}=\sin^2\theta

=\cos^2\theta+\sin^2\theta

We know, \cos^2\theta+\sin^2\theta=1

=1

= RHS

So, LHS=RHS hence proved.
