(cos theta - sin theta) ( 1+ sin theta/cos theta)/(2cos²theta -sin²theta-cos²theta)

= (cos theta - sin theta) ( cos theta + sin theta)/cos theta (cos²theta-sin²theta)

= (cos²theta-sin²theta)/cos theta(cos²theta-sin²theta)

= 1/cos theta

= sec theta

= RHS
