by taking lcm.....
=((cos^2 thet,+sin^2 thet)-(cos^2 thet-sin^2 thet))÷(cos^2 thet-sin^2 thet)
=(4sin thet cos thet)/(cos 2thet) =2tan 2thet
=((cos^2 thet,+sin^2 thet)-(cos^2 thet-sin^2 thet))÷(cos^2 thet-sin^2 thet)
=(4sin thet cos thet)/(cos 2thet) =2tan 2thet
