The trigonometric equation

cos(x) = √3

has no real solutions.

The general non real complex solutions for x is

x = i ln(√3 ± √2) + 2nπ

where, i = √(–1)

  \cos(  - i  \ln( \sqrt{3} ±  \sqrt{2} )  + 2n\pi)  =  \sqrt{3}  \\  \\ ∀  \:  \: n ∈ ℤ
