Dear friend here is your answer...........

(cos x +cos y)/(cos y-cosx)

={2×cos(x+y/2)×cos(x-y/2)}/{2×sin(y+x/2)×sin(x-y/2)}

=cot(x+y/2)cot(x-y/2)[proved]
