Hey,

 \cos{ \alpha }^{2} + \cos \alpha = 1 \\ \\ \cos \alpha = 1 - \cos { \alpha }^{2} \\ \\ \cos \alpha = \sin { \alpha }^{2} \\ \\ \\ now \\ \sin \alpha {}^{2} + \sin \alpha {}^{4} \\ \\ = \sin\alpha {}^{2} + \cos \alpha {}^{2} = 1

I am using alpha instead of A.
