Formula :-

 { \sin( \beta ) }^{2}  +  { \cos( \beta ) }^{2} = 1

Given, cosB = 12/13

Putting in the formula

sin²B + 144/169 = 1

=> sin²B = 1 - 144/169

=>sin²B = 25/169

=> sinB = √25/169

=> sinB = 5/13.
