csc(A) = 5/4

squaring,

csc^2(A) = (5/4)^2

1 + cot^2(A) = 25/16

cot^2(A) = 9/16

taking square root,

cot(A) = 3/4

Thus, the value of cot(A) is 3/4.

Trigonometric Equation used :

  • 1 + cot^2(A) = csc^2(A)

Answer:

3/4

Step-by-step explanation:

cosec = hypotenuse / perpendicular

let hypotenuse= 5x , perpendicular= 4x.

cot A= base/ perpendicular

for finding base, use Pythagoras theorem, (perpendicular)^2+ (base)^2= (hypotenuse)^2

(4x)^2+ (base)^2=(5x)^2

(base)^2= 25x^2-16x^2 =9x^2

base= 3x

cot A= 3x/4x= 3/4
