 (\frac{1}{ \sin( \alpha ) }  -  \frac{ \cos( \alpha ) }{ \sin( \alpha ) } ) {}^{2}  \\  =  \frac{(1 -  \cos( \alpha ))(1 -  \cos( \alpha ))  }{1 -  \cos {}^{2} ( \alpha  ) } \\  = \frac{(1 -  \cos( \alpha ))(1 -  \cos( \alpha )) }{(1 +  \cos( \alpha ))(1 -  \cos( \alpha ))  }  \\  =  \frac{1 -  \cos( \alpha ) }{1 +  \cos( \alpha ) }
