cosecA = 41/40

it is given that,

cosecA - cotA = 4/5 ........(1)

we know from trigonometric identities,

cosec²A - cot²A = 1

so, (cosecA - cotA)(cosecA + cotA) = 1

⇒cosecA + cotA = 1/(cosecA - cotA)

⇒cosecA + cotA = 1/(4/5) = 5/4 [ from equation (1), ]

⇒cosecA + cotA = 5/4 ........(2)

adding equations (1) and (2),

2cosecA = 4/5 + 5/4 = (16 + 25)/20 = 41/20

⇒cosecA = 41/40
