let the cost of one orange be x
let the cost of one mango be y
10x+12y=28 ... (I)
12x+10y=27 ... (II)
by adding equations (I) &(II) we get,
22x+22y=55
2x+2y=5 ...(III)(dividing by 11)
now subtracting (I) from (II) we get,
2x-2y=-1 ... (IV)
by adding (III) &(IV) we get,
4x=4
x=1
substitute value of x in equation (III)
2×1+2y=5
2+2y=5
2y=3
y=3/2
the cost of one orange is Rs 1 and cost of one mango is Rs 3/2
2x+4y=2×1+4×3/2
=2+6
=8
the cost of 2oranges and 4 mangos is Rs 8
