Let the cost of a pen is Rs. x. and cost of a book is Rs.y. , accordingly:-

3x +2y = 225. ……………(1).

4x+3y = 320. ……………..(2).

Multiplying eqn.(1) by 3 and eqn.(2) by. 2. and subtracting.

9.x + 6.y = 675. …………… (3)

8x +. 6y. = 640. …………….(4).
