Answer:

The cost of 1 table is x

∴cost of 3 tables are 3x

put,

The cost of 1 chair is y

∴cost of 2chairs are 2y

according to thequestion

total costof 3 tables and 2chairs are 1850

∴3x+2y=1850→(i)

x=75+y→(ii)

since in question it is given

that cost oftable is 75morethan chairs

(i)and(ii)

3x+2y=1850→(i)

x−y=75→(ii)

multiplying equation(2)by(2)

2x−2y=150→(iii)

add(i)and(iii)

wevget

5x=2000

∴x=4000 therefore cost of one table isRs.400

Substituting thevalue ofxin(ii)we get

400−y=75

∴y=400−75=325

cost 1 chair is Rs.325.
