Answer = 0.032 apples.

Soln,

(1 dozen apple = 12 apples)

So,

4 dozen apple = (4 × 12) apples

= 48 apples

Rs 60, the no. of apples = 48 apples

Rs 1, the no. of apple = (48 ÷ 60) apples

= 0.8 apples

Now,

Rs 25, the no. of apples = (0.8 ÷ 25) apples

= 0.032 apples

Answer:

20 apples.

Step-by-step explanation:

If, 1  dozen apples = 12 apples

then, 4 dozen apples = (12x4) apples = 48 apples.

       cost of  48 apples = Rs. 60

Solving by unitary method,

        cost of 1 apple =  Rs.  \frac{60}{48}  = Rs. \frac{5}{4}

Therefore, with Rs. \frac{5}{4}  we can buy 1 apple.

By using unitary method, the number of apples one can buy with Rs. 25, can be calculated as,

With Rs. 1, one can buy  \frac{1}{\frac{5}{4} } apple  (or  \frac{4}{5} apple).

with Rs. 25, one can buy

                   (25 x \frac{4}{5}) apples = 20 apples.
