cost of 5kg wheat is rs 40.

then the cost of 1 kg wheat is

5kg= 40 rs

kg= 40/5

1 kg = 8 rupees

now

(a) coat of 8 kg rice is

8kg × cost of per kg

= 8×8

= 64 rs

(b) if we can can buy 5 kg in 40 rs then in 80 rs we can buy 10 kg .

explanation 5kg= 40/x=80

40x= 400

x= 400/40

x= 10 kg
