Solution :

The cost price of the article is Rs. 12,500 .

Rs. 300 was spent on its repair , which counts as an overhead price .

Now, the total expense on the article -

> Rs. 15,500 .

Now, the article was sold at a profit of 10%.

Therefore , selling price -

> 110% of 15,500

> 110/100 × 15500

> 110 × 155

> 17050.

Answer - The selling price of the article is Rs. 17050 .

Answer:

\huge{\underline{\textsf{\textbf{~~~~~~Answer}}}} \\

GIVEN :-

Cost of an article = 12,500

overhead expenses = 300

Profit = 10%

Profit= S.P – C.P

Profit%= \frac{profit}{C.P} ×100

Total CP = Cost price+ Overhead expenses(repairs)

Total CP = 12500 + 300 = ₹12800

Total CP=₹12800

Profit = CP x % profit

Profit = 10% of CP

Profit= \frac{10}{100} ×12800

= ₹ 1280

Profit = ₹1280

Selling price = Cost Price + Profit

SP= 12500+ 1280

SP= ₹13780

Hence,the selling price of the article = ₹13780
