Cost of One Orange
3 guavas and 4 oranges cost Rs 29. Similarly 1 guava and 8 oranges cost Rs 43. Now find out the cost of one orange?

Let G denote guavas and Ф denote Oranges.

We have 2 equations:
3G + 4Ф = 29   ------------ (i)
1G + 8Ф = 43  ------------- (ii)

Multiplying equation (ii) by 3, we get 3G + 24Ф = 129  --------- (iii)

Subtracting (i) from (iii), we get 20Ф=100.
This means Ф= 5

Hence we get the cost of one orange as Rs. 5
