Given - Selling price and discount

Find - Best offer

Solution - First shopkeeper is offering more discounts and hence it is the best offer.

The given information states that there is a discount of 1/5 and 1/6 offered by the first and second shopkeepers respectively. So to find the best offer, we will find which shopkeeper is giving the maximum discount.

First shopkeeper -

Discount = 300*1/5

Discount = 60

Second shopkeeper -

Discount = 300/6

Discount = 50

So, first shopkeeper is offering more discount and hence it is the best offer.
