cot^2a - cos^2a = cot^2a.cot^2a

cot^2 A - cos^2 A

= cos^2 A/sin^2 A - cos^2 A

= (cos^2 A - cos^2 A sin^2 A)/sin^2 A

= cos^2 A (1 - sin^2 A)/sin^2 A

= (cos^2 A/ sin^2 A) cos^2 A

[1 - sin^2 A = cos^2 A]

= cot^2 A cos^2 A
