Mainly, the Black soils are highly rich in the calcium, magnesium and potassium but it mainly has the poor nitrogen content.

There are certain Crops such as cotton, tobacco, chilly, jowar, ragi and oil seeds and maize grows well in it.

The Sandy soil mainly have the lower in the nutrient content so that they are highly useful to grow trees such as coconut, cashew as well as casuarinas.
