Given : Three Sides  10.6 cm,5.6 cm,4.0 cm

To find :  Could these be the side of the triangle

Solution:

For  a triangle to be possible

Sum of any two sides should be greater than third Sides

10.6 cm,5.6 cm,4.0 cm

Lets Check

10.6 + 5.6  = 16.2  > 4   (satisfied)

10.6  + 4  = 14.6  > 5.6    (satisfied)

5.6 + 4   = 9.6   <  10.6  ( hence not satisfied)

So sum of two Sides > third side did not satisfy for one pair

Hence triangle is not possible

10.6 cm,5.6 cm,4.0 cm  can not be the sides of triangle
