1.Oliver Twist is a famous Novel by Charles Dickens. Oliver Twist is a 9 year old orphan who has came to live in workhouse the public institution run by the local Parish authorities which housed the poor and give them the minimum of basic food. Mr Bumble was the Parish beadle. He leads Oliver in a room. Oliver was very frightened. Many Gentlemen were sitting there. The gentlemen questioned from Oliver. Then Oliver left the room with Mr Bumble and Bumble puts Oliver in a room with other boys. The boys already had some food to eat. They decided to ask for more food but they didn't decided who will go to ask for more food, then they draw lots. Oliver lost and went to ask for more food. The cook called Mr Bumble and told that the boys asking for more food. Mr Bumble became very angry. The gentlemen entered the room and battledore that the boy will be hung or sold.
