Positive Degree- as + adj+ as

Comparative Degree- adj + er/ more + adj+ than

superlative Degree- the + adj+ est/ the most + adj

Example: From Positive Degree to Comparative Degree)

He is as tall as Ram. ( Positive Degree)

Ram is not taller than he. ( Comparative Degree)

Note: The positive sentence will change into negative and vice versa.

Sita is not as beautiful as Radha. (Positive Degree)

Radha is more beautiful than Sita. ( Comparative Degree)

Rules for changing from Superlative to comparative Degree and positive)

Example:

1. Ram is the tallest boy in the class. ( Superlative)
