The number of eggs produced by an oviparous mother would be more than the young ones produced by a viviparous mother.

Step by step explanation

The main reason for this is that, in case of oviparous organisms, the eggs and the development of the young one takes place outside the mother's body. Therefore, they are more exposed to environmental calamities and hence lesser chances of survival. Therefore, these organisms are prone to the development of more eggs in order to increase their chances of survival, despite the environmental interventions.

However, in case of viviparous organisms, the development of the young ones are formed safely inside the mother and there are less chances of environmental interventions. Hence, they are less exposed to environmental conditions and therefore less number of young ones are produced as compared to the number of eggs.
