Carbon has 3 allotropes:
a) diamond
b)graphite
c)buckminsterfullerene

Graphite is an allotrope of carbon.

some uses of graphite:
1) It is non volatile and slippery so ,it is used as an lubricant in fast running machines.

2)It is used for making outer covering of spaceships as it had high melting point.

3)It is used for making lead of pencils.
