Given info : mass of jar is 30g, mass of a jellybean is 2g and the mass of whole jar of jellybeans is 230 gram.

To find : the number of jellybeans in the jar is..

solution : The whole mass of jellybeans in the jar = 230g

mass of jellybeans in the jar (excluding mass of jar) = the whole mass - mass of jar

= 230g - 30g = 200g

let the number of jellybeans in the jar is x

x × mass of a jellybean = 200g

⇒x × 2g = 200g

⇒x = 100

Therefore 100 jellybeans are in the jar.
