Homework should be abolished because of many factors including:
1. Additional burden- Given the burden of academics, it is necessary to reduce the workload of children. This can effectively be done by abolishing homework altogether. Many times the homework is such that parents are forced to do it or get it done by professionals. Giving such homework is useless for the child’s education.
2. Better observation by teacher- When there is no homework, and the child is working only in the class, the teacher will be able to get a better idea of the child’s calibre. The grading will be fair since the child will not get any external help from siblings or parents or professionally.
3. Well-rounded personality- With no homework, the child will be able to pursue other interests like hobbies and sports and be able to develop his personality well. It will also give him time to interact with friends and family.

1. Reinforces concepts- Homework is meant to reinforce the concepts taught in class. It is an important part of education as it helps the student practice the concepts and understand better.
