'counting your chicken...... '.Why does patol babu's wife thinks of him as a failure. Do you agree with her? What value do you think would have made him successful in his life?

It is patol babu's wife who tells this to him

counting your chickens before they hatch means Don't assume that you will get something. Wait until you actually have it. 
It means to not plan something out and act as if it is going to happen, as it might not go through or it might go wrong. 
the speaker i.e his wife does not want him to be dissapointed in case the role doesnt turn out the way expected  so she tells him this
