Hindi is quite a popular language in India and also scattered across the globe in patches. The major countries which have given Hindi the status of an official language are-

The most commonly known is NEPAL. In Nepal around 8 million citizens speak Hindi and is hence a recognised language.

Another small but unexpected country is FIJI. A tiny archipelago of over 300 islands is a major tourist destination with over 380,000 speakers of Hindi. The Hindi spoken there is of Awadhi dialect.

Apart from these UAE has also established a minority language status for Hindi as per Wikipedia.
