Country who first introduce official family planning

India was the first country in the world to adopt an official population policy and launch an official family planning programme way back in 1952.Family Planning was set up in 1936. It was at first known as the Sex Hygiene and Birth Regulation Society. At that time, contraception was basic and unreliable.
