“Cowards die many times before their death; the valiant never taste of death but once.”

A coward is someone who is afraid to face the challenges of life, such as dealing with difficult situations, taking risks, and fighting for what he/she believes in. These lines depicts how a feels inside when he/she runs away from a challenge. If you think you are dying every time you are confronted with an obstacle or something to be feared, you die a little each time, and have to expend your energy to recover from that feeling each time.  It is mentally and emotionally wearing while a valiant is someone who is brave in facing the challenges of life, is never afraid to face difficult or risky situations, and will always fight for what he/she believes in.

A person who is not afraid to face the challenges of life doesn't "die" inside like the coward does. This person can hold their head up high and be proud that he or she faced that difficult situation or fought for what he or she believed in. So, when this brave and valiant person physically dies, this is the only time he or she will know death because he or she has never been afraid to face the challenges of life.  They don't have to suffer through the ups and downs of all of life's trials.  They are not immune from trials, but it is all about their attitude in the face of those trials. The individual of integrity does not surrender his values in situations that are threatening because he has fortitude; he is authentic.  Therefore, he only dies when his body stops breathing whereas the coward has seen himself quake, or "die," over and over.

So, keep working hard and keep moving believing in yourself without fearing about the outcomes.
