Covalently bonded molecules r seen to have strong bonds within the molecule, but intermolecular forces r weak. This gives rise to low melting and boiling points of these compounds. Since the electrons are shared between atoms and no charged particles are formed, such covalent compounds r poor conductors of electricity.
Can any1 plz explain me the meaning of the above paragraph?
Plz do it......will b really thankful!!

The above paragraph explains about the conductivity and inter molecular forces of covalent compound. Covalent compound are formed by sharing of atoms so they have less forces in them due to this weak force they can't hold electrons and hence they are poor conductor.

Well talking about melting and boiling point ,they have less force so they can easily be heated.

Meanwhile the reason is same for both properties.

Hope it is
