Step-by-step explanation:

We have

Length of the match box =4cm

Breadth if the match box=2.5cm

and,

Height of the match box=1.5cm

Now, for the amount of paper required to cover the match box we need to calculate the surface are of the match box

We know that

Surface area fo the match box=2(lb+bh+lh)

=2(4×2.5+2.5×1.5+4×1.5)

=2(10+3.75+6)

=2×19.75

=39.5cm2

Hence, The amount of paper required to covered the match box is 39.5cm

Step-by-step explanation:

length-5cm

breadth-3.5cm

height-1.5cm

let assume Cover of match is open both side and that side consist breadth and height.

hense,we should add all Face area of matchbox except The face area considering Breath and height.

total surface Area- 2 (lb+bh+hl)

= 2(5×3.5+ 3.5×1.5+1.5×5)

= 2(17.5+ 5.25 + 7.5 )

= 2( 30.25)

= 60.5 square cm

area of one side having Breadth and Height

b×h

3.5×1.5

= 5.25

area of another end opposite to this side is also 5.25 square cm

hense total area is- 10.5 square cm.

°•° Area of Cover of matchbox= total surface area- area of Both sides where the match is opened.

60.5 -10.5

50 sqaure cm. (Ans)

area of Inside BOX is...

In the inside box...one face is opened involving Its length and Breath.

°•° area of inside Box= total surface area - area of one face having length and breath.

= 60.5-17.5

= 43 square Cm (ans)
