According to the question hence the radius is 5/2
So the sheet covers the cans=Area of Square -Area of circle
=(side)²-πr²
= (5)²-22/7×5/2×5/2
=25-550/28
=25-275/14
=25×14-275/14
=350-275/14
=75/14
=5.35cm²(approx)

Area of square = (5)² = 25cm²
Radius of circle = 5/2 cm
Area of circle = πr²
= 3.14 × (5/2)²
= 3.14 × (25/4)
= 3.14 × 6.25
= 19.62 cm²
Area of wasted material = area of square - area of circle
= 25-19.62
= 5.38 cm²

Thanks :)
