Answer:

A very infanative morning to respected principal sir, esteemed teachers and my dear friends. Today I am here to deliver a speech on the topic "COVID-19-A threat to human existence ".

The coronavirus is a family of viruses that can cause a large range of illness in humans including common cold and more severe forms like SARS and MERS which are life threatening. The virus is named after its shape which takes the form of a crown with protrusions around it. Since it's a new strain, there is no specific vaccine that can treat it.However according to WHO many symptoms can be treated and therefore treatment is based on the patient's clinical condition. It has spread across 210 countries and 2 ships in the world. For the time being social distancing and lockdown have been the only ways to fight with this biological weapon. Most importantly the self awareness of a person is much more essential in this particular time. It is believed that it outbroke from Wahan, a city of China and has spread all over the world within 4 months which has caused more than 2 lakhs casualties and still counting. So we can easily guess the danger that this pandemic can cause.

The coronavirus hit us by surprise, and consumed us within months. Nobody predicted that it would kill so many people, force countries to lockdown, shut schools and public places and put our life on hold. It hit us and now it's everywhere. It made the whole world bleed, and spreading like wildfire.

During this chaos, we then realize the weight of humanity, the implications of our actions and how we all are connected. While we wait for borders to be opened, so that we can go back home in the comfort of our bed, we hear the shouts of refugees louder, we 'empathize' with those who have been uprooted from their home, and force to flee, we understand their pain and suffering because we know how it feels. '

We know that we share only religion that is humanity, and this crisis is bringing humanity out of people. The world is changing, it is healing, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Pollution is being cleared off, the equilibrium is being restored, and at the end of this, the world will heal. There are so many lessons of humanity to take on from there: racism, health, love and how to embrace uncertainty and make something out of it!

In this crucial time, let's put our differences aside and fight this deadly coronavirus together. Due to lockdowns in most countries, people who run their own businesses are facing income drops, big families in rural areas that depend on daily income will not be able to support the whole family in a long period of time. Students who are taking their big exams this year will be affected.

We cannot allow the COVID-19 to serve as a vehicle for racism and discrimination since we have seen episodes of discrimination against people, especially from China and other Asian countries. This can have an impact on children's rights and most importantly on their mental health.

Let's stop pointing fingers and play our part so that we can break the chain of infection because we're all in this together. It's time for change and change is what we are going to bring as ONE RACE and ONE CIVILIZATION.

Spread positivity, not negativity. Stay at home and stay safe. With this I am signing out.
