The cow is a gentle four-legged animal. It has a long tail with a bushy end, and large, beautiful eyes.Cows are usually white, red, black or brown in colour. Some of them have patches and may have more than one colour. They feed on grass, shrubs and leaves. The cow gives us milk, which is considered a complete, wholesome and perfect food. From milk, one can make curd, butter, cream, ghee, whey and cottage cheese, or paneer.The cow is a great boon to all of us and therefore Hindus treat it as a sacred animal and respect it.
