We're not afraid to die:
The kids, though being hurt, put on a brave face and try to ease their father off the burden of looking after after the boat and also his family. They didn't want their father to get more stressed than he already was.
Julius Caeser:
Julius' wife dreamt of his death and pleaded him not to stir out of the home that day, but Julius, being an arrogant warrior, insisted on going. It was at that time that Julius said "Cowards die many times before their death but the valiant always faces the danger." and left home only to be killed by most loved Brutus.
