Cows and buffaloes are seen chewing even when they are not grazing or eating anything ,why?​

Answer:

1.Because of the process of rumination. In this, the food is stored in the rumen of the ruminants . When they are sitting ideal the food engulfed by them comes into their mouth in lumps and they chew it.

2.It is due to the process called rumination i. e. the animals like cow and Buffalo seems to chew when they are not actually eating because the food is in the when intake is half chewed which is called cud and it comes back in their mouth as it contains cellulose in it.
