An earthquake is an example of a natural calamity that can lead to a heavy toll on the lives of humans. The magnitude of tremors varies depending upon the intensity of the earthquake, but they generally lead to the collapse of buildings.

Large earthquakes can trigger tsunami which in turn leads to heavy destruction in the lives of humans.

The victims of earthquake are most often left homeless and they are escorted to refugee centres by the government.

Earthquakes, at times, also lead to landslides causing havoc in the lives of many affected people.
