Once the Sun and the Wind began to quarrel, each one saying that he was stronger than the other. At last they decided to test each other’s strength. A man with a cloak around his shoulders was passing by. The Wind boasted, “Using my strength I can make that man take off the cloak.” The Sun agreed. The Wind blew hard. The man felt so cold that he clasped his cloak round his body as tightly as possible. Now it was the turn of the Sun which shone very hot indeed. The man felt so hot that he at once removed the cloak from his body. Seeing the man taking off the cloak, the Wind conceded defeat.

Once the Wind and the Sun came to have a quarrel. Either of them claimed to be a stronger. At last they agreed to have a trial of strength.
"Here comes a traveller. Let us see who can strip him of his clock," said the Sun.
The Wind agreed and chose to have the first turn. He blew in the hardest possible way. As a result , the traveller wrapped his cloak even more tightly around him.

The day was beautiful for a ridiculous event. It was easy for them to determine who was the best through competition but it was tough for the person who endured their violent trials. Each one saying that he was stronger than the other. In this moment a poor fellow with a cloak around his shoulders was passing by. The Wind boasted, “Using my strength I can make that man take off the cloak.” The sun Agreed. Angry Wind began to blow hard.
The confused man did not understand why he suddenly felt cold, when the day was beautiful. "It will freeze me," he said, blaming the weather for not understanding anything. The man felt so cold that he clasped his cloak round his body as tightly as possible and began to tremble.
Now it was the turn of the Sun which shone very hot indeed. The man felt so hot that he at once removed the cloak from his body. And he said, "What's going on, sometimes hot, sometimes cold." He seemed that it must be a devil who was invisibly playing with him. He was so afraid that he began to run to save his life from such a devil, and shouted, "Oh ! God save me, save me, save me".
Seeing the man taking off the cloak, the Wind conceded defeat. Although the whole situation was a mystery to the man forever.
Moral: Pride is the cause of downfall
