SOLUTION

TO VERIFY

Create a cube using the net and verify Euler's formula for it

CONCEPT TO BE IMPLEMENTED

Euler’s formula for Polyhedron :

For polyhedron F + V = E + 2

Where F stands for number of faces , V stands for number of vertices , E stands for number of edges .

EVALUATION

We know that a cuboid is also a polyhedron having six faces, eight vertices and twelve edges

Step : 1

Write down number of faces , number of vertices , number of edges

F = Number of faces = 6

V = Number of vertices = 8

E = Number of edges = 12

Step : 2

Use Euler’s formula

By Euler’s formula F + V = E + 2

LHS = F + V = 6 + 8 = 14

RHS = E + 2 = 12 + 2 = 14

Thus LHS = RHS

Hence verified
