Convection current of the mantle affects the surface of the Earth since convection current of the mantle is the reason why the plates are moving in a certain direction. Convection current of the mantle and the movement of the plate created different types of plate boundaries. If the two plates are moving away from each other then the plate boundaries is said to be divergent plate boundary. If two plates are moving towards each then the type of plate boundaries created is convergent plate boundaries. If the two plates slides past each other then the type of plate boundaries created is transform fault boundaries.
Each plates boundaries created specific geological features on the surface of the Earth. But, all plate boundaries will always produce an earthquake. All plate movement affects the public both in negative and positive ways. Negative since earthquake and volcanoes are both disastrous and positive since land formation attracts tourism and benefited the public in terms of economic aspect and agricultural aspect.
